What is a hospital information system (HIS)?
An HIS is the software a healthcare facility uses to run the whole patient journey: registration and booking, consultation, diagnosis and prescription, then invoicing and the insurance claim. Instead of separate tools and paper files, every department works from one patient record and one set of reports.
In Saudi Arabia an HIS also needs NPHIES integration for eligibility and claims, and VAT invoices with the ZATCA QR code. AndroHealth covers both.
